Pos Malaysia is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) by dedicating its Caring Society stamps to the world’s children.

The five stamps, which was launched on 9th Octocber 2009, also honours Unicef for its role in protecting children and their right to survival, development and protection by carrying the UNICEF logo.

The photo above shows UNICEF child representative Nur Ain Atiqah Nur Anuar, 14, showing stamps and first day covers in honour of the 20th anniversary of the convention of world’s children’s rights at the General Post Office.

The postage comes in a set of four 30sen stamps, each featuring in Bahasa Malaysia and English a child’s right to food, education, play and protection, while the RM1 stamp highlights the CRC.

The Braille feature on the RM1 stamp is recognition that all children have equal rights, including those with disabilities and not forgetting that this is the First Braille stamp for Malaysia
