Cover From China

Sorry for I rarely have time to prepare any write-ups or posts as I'm currently very very busy with my work. Project is reaching its end phase and alot of ad hoc work is going on. LOL

Anyway, to keep the post going, I would like to share a simple yet beautiful cover from China. This is actually a pre paid cover hence a genuine postal stationery. I simply love the current philatelic scene in China where they have access to so many postal stationeries from prepaid covers to prepaid postcards. Not to mentioned, all the themes in the world; truly a haven for thematic philatelists. KUDOS to China for providing an avenue for all type/level of collectors and philatelist. I truly appreciate the effort.

Hopefully, Malaysia could be like that one day. Lets revive the greatest hobby ever, STAMPS!!!

This is yet another beautiful and complex pictorial postmark from China. I'm simply amazed with the details that went into the design. Kudos to POST China. This type of postmarks are definitely a gem among thematic collectors and fingers cross; hopefully China will come up with a beautiful Eagle postmark one day. Can't wait for it. LOL...

Another interesting thing about this cover is that it was send via surface mail. That's definitely something new for me especially when we talk about overseas mail. As always, looking forward to more friendly exchanges with all my friends.

Cover From China

Love this cover from China. It depicts 20th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China-Singapore. I simple love the pictorial postmarks. Like usual, China Pos has never failed to impress us with their creative pictorial postmarks. Another very interesting thing is that this is a real posted First Day Cover (checkout the CDS and pictorial postmarks; both have the same date).

Definitely a great cover from China though there are no birds. LOL...

Bird Cover From China

This is definitely one of the BEST PHILATELIC COVER I've ever received. Everything a philatelic cover needs; complete set, clear CDS postmark, and clear address is on the cover. Simply a marvelous bird cover. Basically the ms consists of 6 stamps with 1.20 yuan denomination. The birds depicted in the stamps are as follow:

  • Taiwan Blue Magpie
  • Tibetan Bunting
  • Cabot's Tragopan
  • Snowy-cheeked Laughingthrush
  • Golden Pheasent
  • Biddulph's Ground Jay
Though, I'm a collector of Birds of Prey and pigeons, I've to admit that is ms is truly very beautiful. I doubt anyone will say NO to this cover. Last but not least. I'm looking forward to more friendly exchanges with friends from all over the world. Come on and join the fun!!!

Thanks to my dear friend, Xu Wei for these beautiful pictorial postmarks. Not really materials of my themes but Im really in love with pictorial cancellations from China. They are simply so beautiful that its a work of art by itself. Though I understand that not many are interested with pictorial postmarks as preference are given to normal postmarks, I on the other hand just can't resist pictorial postmarks especially on Eagles. Being a thematic collector, I personally understand how hard is it to get covers with pictorial postmarks relating to your theme. You should ask me about it... LOL

Hopefully, China will have Eagle postmarks in the future. Would definitely love to have that.

Dear readers, I would like to present another personalized Bird Cover from my collection. Though many may argue that Personalized Covers are actually art and not philately, I totally agree. However, I definitely love to receive all this personalized covers as they give me a lasting impression of the sender. LOL...

Besides the personalized cover, I love the pictorial postmark at the back. China is definitely very innovative when it comes to postmarks. A BIG APPLAUSE to China Post.

Yet another BIG SUPRISE from China. Thanks my friend Xu Wei for the beautiful postcards u send me. As agreed, Xu Wei was supposed to send me only a special postcard from the Collector Fair Prague 2009 but to my suprise my friend was so generous to send me a set of Beijing Olympic postcards with preprinted stamps. I just cant thank u enough. They were always in my want list and its truly a great joy to received them from u.

PS: Dear Xu Wei, hope u like the MNH stamps and FDC I send u and looking forward to more friendly trades with u.

Yet another very beautiful postcard from China. This time its from Luhua. The postcard depicts the serene Sunset Glow Over Leifeng Pagoda. Leifeng Pagoda 雷峰塔 is a five story tall tower with eight sides, located on Sunset Hill south of the West Lake in Hangzhou. Originally constructed in the year AD 975, it collapsed in 1924 but was rebuilt in 2002, since when it has been a popular tourist attraction.

The pair of stamps on the top right depicts the Formosan Blue Magpies (Urocissa Caerulae) that was issued in 2002 while the single stamp depicts the Chines Monal (Lophophorus Ihuysii) that was issued in 2006. Love the stamps alot and thanks Luhua for the efforts but it would have been better if the stamps were stick properly.

PS: Dear Luhua, mayb u can help me with both the complete MNH set of these 2 issues... LOL... again showing my GREEDY side... OMG!!!!

Love this postcard from SuYue very very much especially with so many bird stamps but wud appreciate it if the stamps are stick properly. Hope all my readers can do me a favour when sending philately materials to me, pls make sure the stamps are stick properly for they are prone to be damage when send. Cant blame the postmen on this for we shud understand that stamps are so fragile that tearing them can sometimes b done by just a flick of the finger. Tats why I hope that all philatelist will make sure the stamps are stick and press properly before sending them. Better chance of surviving. LOL

The stamps depict the Taiwan Yuhina (Yuhina Bruneiceps) and was issued in 2006.

Thanks Su Yue and hope v can have many more friendly exchanges in the future... Mayb stamps? lol
