60 years of the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights

What a great FDC? Great words from a great man.... The FDC was issued
in observance of 60 years of the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights. If u all are wondering why Im going off track again, pls take a closer look. The stamp features Four greatest Apostles of Peace and advocates of Human Rights of Mankind namely Mahatma Gandhi , Mother Teresa, Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. Mother Teresa and Martin Luther King Jr. has contributed so much to the Christian World. May God bless all this people who has brought so much to the world. They are special for they are the very few who believe in sacrificing for others. They believe in equality and fought for it till the very end. Hereby, I salute the true warriors of our time. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!!

Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee released a commemorative postage stamp on Wednesday evening in observance of 60 years of the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights at a special function organized by the National Human Rights Commission to mark Human Rights Day in New Delhi.

Information on the stamp:

Postmaster General of Chennai city region M.S.Ramanujam released the postage stamp at a function in Chennai on Sunday to mark 150 years of CSI St.Paul’s Church . Former judge of Madras High Court J.Kanakaraj received the same.

St Paul’s Church, one of the oldest and prestigious churches in Chennai, came into being in 1858. Located at the center of Vepery, Choolai and Purasawalkam areas, the church is set in a place that is famous for the Karnataka War fought by Tipu Sultan against the British. It is a CSI (Church of South India) church which holds regular worship services.

Yet another beautiful cover by Karan... simply love the block of four (St Paul church). Its truly the highlight of the very very beautiful cover. However, the cancellations weren't perfect. If it was, certainly this would qualify as one the best modern covers ever received. HAHAHA... nway, looking 4ward to more friendly trades with u.
